Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 2 cups chunky tomato sauce
  • 1 cup of your favorite toppings pepperoni, sausage, vegetables, etc.

Instructions

  • Prepare the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and melted butter. Gradually add warm water and mix until the dough comes together. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth, then let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Assemble the pizza: Roll out the dough and press it into a deep-dish pan, making sure it covers the bottom and sides. Layer mozzarella cheese on the bottom, followed by your chosen toppings, and finish with a generous layer of tomato sauce.
  • Bake: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Serve: Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing. Enjoy your homemade Chicago-style deep-dish pizza!
