Ingredients
  

  • 4-5 large potatoes or sweet potatoes for a twist
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1-2 tbsp chili powder adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: cayenne pepper for extra heat

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them into thin rounds. You can use a mandoline slicer for even slices!
  • Place the potato slices in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss them well to coat each slice.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Add cayenne pepper if you want extra heat!
  • Sprinkle the spice mixture over the potato slices and toss again to make sure they’re evenly coated.
  • Arrange the potato slices in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they’re crispy and golden brown.
  • Let the chips cool for a few minutes, and then enjoy your homemade spicy chips!

Notes

For more flavor, feel free to adjust the spice levels by adding extra cayenne pepper or a dash of your favorite hot sauce to the seasoning mix!
