Ingredients
  

Sourdough Bread

  • 2 slices sourdough bread preferably day-old
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • a pinch salt

Butter for frying

  • 2 tbsp butter for frying

Toppings

  • as desired maple syrup
  • as desired fresh berries

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt butter in it.
  • Dip each slice of sourdough bread into the egg mixture, ensuring it is evenly coated on both sides.
  • Place the soaked bread slices onto the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve your sourdough French toast with maple syrup and fresh berries on top.

Notes

You can customize your sourdough French toast by adding your favorite toppings or even a dusting of powdered sugar!
